Binatone TV Master MK IV

I got this from the local town around 1977, I think it was about £20 or so, and in 1977 that was like most of my weekly wage.

It wasn’t my first tech purchase but it was my first computer game, I did have a 12″ black and white portable television paid for weekly through my mothers mail order catalogue, It wasn’t the Magnavox Odyssey I saw on the BBC television programme “Tomorrows World” back in the 1970s but I thought it was great, I could just plug it into the television aerial socket and it was up running.

The four games were Tennis, a two player game with two bats and a ball with a line down the middle for a net, Football was two player with two inner bats and two goal bats and a ball, Squash was two player with two bats on the same side of the screen and Squash Practice the same but for one player, I had it connected to my 12″ black and white TV and it was fun to play but not so much on your own and I was getting board of it so didn’t play with it much, I think I gave it away or sold it.
